Early Life and Career

Eury Matos was born on June 6, 1988, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He grew up in a humble family and developed a passion for music since he was a child. He started his career as a DJ and producer, working with local artists and creating beats for different genres such as reggaeton, dembow, rap, and merengue.

He gained recognition in the Dominican music scene for his work with El Alfa, one of the pioneers and leaders of dembow, a Dominican style of music identified by its playful, rapid drum pattern and carefree energy. In 2017, Eury Matos founded his own company, Eury Matos Management & Booking S.R.L, with the aim of providing professional and comprehensive services for urban artists in the Latin market. He became the manager of El Alfa, Shelow Shaq, La Materialista, and other emerging talents. He also expanded his business to other areas such as events production, merchandising, music publishing, and digital distribution.

Eury Matos has been instrumental in the internationalization and recognition of dembow as a genre that has influenced and collaborated with other Latin urban styles such as reggaeton and trap. He has helped his artists to achieve collaborations with global stars such as Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam, Daddy Yankee, Farruko, Ozuna, Anuel AA, J Balvin, Pitbull, Lil Pump, Tyga, Diplo, Major Lazer, and others.

On February 14th 2023 (Valentine’s Day), Eury Matos surprised La Materialista by proposing to her on live television during her participation in the reality show La Casa de los Famosos 3. The couple plans to get married in November 2023 in the Dominican Republic. La Materialista has revealed that she will wear five different dresses for her wedding day. She has also expressed her desire to have children with Eury Matos.
